Clearly well past its prime, this resort has lost its will to live. The bones are good, but it’s no longer particularly well cared for. Our room was dirty, smelled of chemicals, could not be cooled below 25c overnight, and was short of towels and even TP. The picture over the bed was upside down! Drinks and extras were overpriced, the food was mediocre, and the internet access fee was high (everywhere else we stayed charged nothing). Although the staff were pleasant they were clearly overworked: give them a good tip.

The Fiji Friday night dinner and show was good but overall, it’s an overpriced property in poor condition. We had issues with cold showers, cockroaches in the room, very bad breakfast buffet and resultant tummy problems and diaharea, as well as a grimy adult pool and a resort ‘fishing’ activity involving old water bottles with fishing line wrapped around it. Recommend only staying on a Friday night but certainly 4 days is way too much.

The Pearl Resort is an amazing hotel, offering serene views and kind and friendly staff. Lots of activities to do and nearby tour companies that will pick up and drop you off. Would stay here again!
